A Sixth Sense for the Wired World

Body modification artists have created another "sense" by implanting a strong magnet in their finger. Because of the density of nerves in the fingertip, a primitive "sense" is created when the magnet reacts to electromagnetic fields. Recipients of the implant report various sensations and found they could locate electric stovetops and motors, pick out live electrical cables and fell their laptop hard drive spinning. Just think about what other senses could be created in the future if things like this became popular.... Sci-Fi is no longer fiction.
