Pluto is a dwarf planet in the solar system, according to the recent International Astronomical Union's (IAU) redefinition of planet. Pluto was until recently considered the ninth full planet from the Sun, and could be again reclassified (within the classification of dwarf planets) as the prototype of a yet-to-be-named family of trans-Neptunian objects.Basically.... it doesn't follow the rules and crosses Neptune's orbit, so for being a very bad boy, it's been booted outta the Solar System. Naughty naughty, very naughty.....
