Anthony Callea Outed

Anthony Callea, a former Australian Idol contestant, was recently outed when a Sydney morning radio host was having a discussion about an old friend of his on the air.

Said Eye in the Sky reporter Vic Lorusso of the friend: "You wouldn't know him. He's a nice guy but his partner, which is Anthony Callea, didn't want to know anything about anybody." he told host Christo.

When Christo questioned the comment, Lorusso quickly continued with the traffic report.

A spokeswoman for the show claimed Lorusso had not been taking a pot shot at Callea: "Vic had no idea that it wasn't common knowledge."

Callea had no immediate response. While a contestant on Idol, Callea denied rumors that he was gay, saying, "I'm not gay. I don't know why people say I am. A lot of people just make up rubbish."

Set Report of 'The Mist'

There is a four day set report on 'Ain't it Cool' from 'The Mist', based on a Stephen King short story. Basically a mist envelops a town and we see what happens to the suvivors trapped in the local supermarket. Trust me, all sorts of weird shit starts happening.

It's a great time to be a Stephen King fan....

Neo-Mickey

Check out this sweet animation for a proposed videogame called Neo-Mickey. Apparently the project isn’t going forward at the moment which is a shame because it looks like it could be fun. Matt Cruickshank designed and boarded the piece, Barry Baker did the animation.

Beautiful Saturn

The $3.3-billion U.S. Cassini mission, funded by NASA and the European and Italian space agencies, recently sent back these stunning images the Cassini craft snapped while in an inclined orbit around the planet Saturn over the past two months.

I loved space as a kid, and these photos finally get me excited again.

New Spiderman 3 Poster

Apparently, they'll also be a six minute scene from the movie next week. To be honest, I think I'd like to stay in the dark for spidey.... let's hope the movie is awesome tho!!

Rude Tony Blair

A photograph taken of English Prime Minister Tony Blair (top row, center) while he was at Oxford in the 70's has been in circulation for a while — in a more sanitized state. The photograph had an "obscene gesture" excised from it to protect the PM's image.

Father Nicholas, a contemporary of Blair's at Oxford who originally provided the photo to a news agency with the prerequisite that the gesture be taken out, said he wasn't surprised that the original image has finally surfaced.

He added: "I suppose the BBC lawyers would be a bit worried if I was to suggest he was drunk in that photo. On the other hand, it's probably more defamatory to say he was sober."

It's great to see that such important people were such normal people growing up... I mean, we've all done something stupid, sometimes its caught on camera. I think he looks absolutely smashing in a boater.......
