Dumberdore the Poof

As you all know by now, Dumbledore was outed by author JK Rowling. It makes sense... Dumbledore is all about unconditional love which is a very gay trait.... a poof has to get his head around society's conventions and learn to love the forbidden. The reaction has been absolutely huge.... from those who don't want to know 'cause it wasn't in the books, to those who think she is shoving the gay persona onto Dumbledore 'cause every modern story has to have a fag somewhere in the mix.... her actual quote was, "I've always thought of Dumbledore as gay," so if it bothers you so much, you could just think that she has a faulty gaydar....

Anthony Callea Outed

Anthony Callea, a former Australian Idol contestant, was recently outed when a Sydney morning radio host was having a discussion about an old friend of his on the air.

Said Eye in the Sky reporter Vic Lorusso of the friend: "You wouldn't know him. He's a nice guy but his partner, which is Anthony Callea, didn't want to know anything about anybody." he told host Christo.

When Christo questioned the comment, Lorusso quickly continued with the traffic report.

A spokeswoman for the show claimed Lorusso had not been taking a pot shot at Callea: "Vic had no idea that it wasn't common knowledge."

Callea had no immediate response. While a contestant on Idol, Callea denied rumors that he was gay, saying, "I'm not gay. I don't know why people say I am. A lot of people just make up rubbish."

Doogie Comes Out!

Neil Patrick Harris sets the record straight.... or should I say gay:

“The public eye has always been kind to me, and until recently I have been able to live a pretty normal life. Now it seems there is speculation and interest in my private life and relationships.

“So, rather than ignore those who choose to publish their opinions without actually talking to me, I am happy to dispel any rumors or misconceptions and am quite proud to say that I am a very content gay man living my life to the fullest and feel most fortunate to be working with wonderful people in the business I love.”

Darren Hayes Marrys Again

Aussie pop singer Darren is flipping channels and making some changes in his life. A few weeks ago, he split with Sony Music to start recording his new album independently. But he had even bigger news in store for fans this week. On his web site, he posted a letter yesterday that announces he married his boyfriend Richard last month.

"I very rarely make comments about my private life," he writes. "On June 19th 2006 I married my boyfriend of two years, Richard, in a Civil Partnership ceremony in London. I can honestly say it was the happiest day of my life. I feel lucky to live in an era where my relationship can be considered legally legitimate and I commend the UK Government for embracing this very basic Civil Liberty."

David out of the Closet!!

Big Brother's resident gay farmer has finally come out of the closet! Last night, after awkwardly fumbling his way through the housemates' speed dating task, David decided enough was enough and finally revealed his secret to the house and to Australia.

After dinner, David gathered the HMs together and told them he hadn't been completely honest with them since entering the House. "I've skipped questions and I've allowed you guys to assume things," admitted David.
"I wouldn't normally be speed dating where guys are on one side and girls are on the other," said David. "I'd be speed dating where guys are on one side and guys are on the other... I'm the token farmer and the token gay guy."
At this, the HMs all jumped to their feet to hug and reassure him - all of them, that is, except Camilla. She stayed seated on the couch, tears running down her face, claiming she felt deceived. Eventually David approached her to talk, explaining that he'd wanted to tell her all along but it had just been too hard for him. It's awesome to have a non-stereotypical gay role model in the house... he reminds me alot of myself actually. He's more normal than your average queen, in fact, most of the house had no idea, especially when there's a straight guy running around saying "it would be easier to be gay"

I'm really enjoying the first week of BB 06 so far... even tho there are no confilicts yet, they are all very interesting people, and the presence of BB's "insider" should make things extremely fun. BB seems to be building up to something, everything he does seems to have a consequence somewhere down the line... all the information collected during this week's task will be used in some way. He's messing with their heads already in subtle ways, and I'm sure the pressure will build :)
