With all the controversy caused by Prince suing You-Tube, fan sites and basically the internet in general, he thought he make it up to his fans by releasing a new song, PFUnk. This is a ripper track, best in ages - why can't we get an album's worth of this???

Prince's New Single

Here's a preview of Prince's new single which you can download onto your mobile.... if you live in the USA that is. He offered up a different version of this song earlier this year on his website... funnily enough, for a song named "Guitar", that instrument seemed to be hidden in the mix. Now he's re-done it, and it sounds awesome loud, especially that guitar solo. This could be a huge hit... its nice to see Prince marketed properly for a change.

There's much speculation over this image posted at 3121.com... is this a new album, song or tour?? Recently some lyrics were posted behind the image:

Prince to do Beatles??

There's rumours going around that Prince will release an album of Beatles covers... he's been covering a few in his Vegas concerts lately.... namely "Come Together" and "The Long and Winding Road".

Personally, I'd love to hear his versions.... anything to bring their music back is always a good thing. But, no one can ever know exactly what Prince is planning next... so don't pay too much attention to the rumours.

Pop superstar PRINCE kept tense producers of AMERICAN IDOL guessing after failing to show for his surprise performance during the talent show's finale on Wednesday (24MAY06) until the last minute. Show host RYAN SEACREST feared he'd have to fill in for the pop star when he still hadn't arrived at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood for his live performance as the big reveal started. The US TV personality even stated, "No more surprises," just in case Prince failed to show - but then the singer walked onto the stage and wowed the crowd and millions of TV viewers. Seacrest recalls, "We're in a commercial break just before the surprise of Prince and he wasn't at the Kodak Theatre, so what do we do? "

"That does it for all of the guest stars this evening. No more surprises; that was fun huh? Did you enjoy that ladies and gentlmen? Good stuff. Now we move into the big part of the show, the results portion. Your American Idol this year. Who is it going to be? One more time let me hear you loud here in Hollywood!", announces Seacrest.

He walked on the stage 30 seconds before he was to go live, sings and was in his car before I toss to the next commercial break. He was there for a total of five-and-a-half minutes."

All I can say is good on ya Prince... He obviously thought the show was beneath him, but couldn't ignore the promotional opportunity... what a bad motherfucker!
This is just days after he was voted "sexiest male vegetarian".... maybe if he ate more meat, he'd wouldn't be as arrogant... hehehe

A new Prince album.... a classic? Nah, but not bad either. Its no where near as derivative as some of his recent work, which seemed to sample his stuff from the 80's. This disc however, shows Prince experimenting again, instead of using the same sorta sounds as usual, he's actually playing and creating something that sounds contemporary. It'd be great if he could actually put his trust in someone else and re-invent his music.

The music is very synth driven on this album, a refreshing change, as I thought he must have thrown his out in the early 90's. Anyway, the stand out tracks for me are:
